Today marks Korean Independence day as the 78th anniversary of National Liberation Day of Korea was held at Wallstreet Bowling Green Park. With guests like Mayor Adams, Assemblywoman Rajkumar, Mayor Zinna, and many others, the Bull that sprang to life next to us signified the people free of colonial rule of Korea. This wasn't my first flag raising and it won't be my last, but it keep making me think about how far we've come to be recognized as a minority with a vocal presence in politics. Hopefully, there's a lot more to come.
